Josiah Survived His 1st Semester at RTS!!

The last task was a take home essay exam that took him 16 hours to complete! God has been good, as it is only by His grace that Josiah was able to accomplish what he did. Completing his seminary education in 3 years with a job and a family is next to impossible but he is going to give it his best effort. We are very proud of him!

Needless to say, he is very relieved to be done for awhile and is already enjoying his much needed break. Cayden and I are also glad he is done. Maybe we will actually get to spend more than 5 minutes at a time with him ;0)

Little Stinker!

I don't know how he wedged himself in this spot, because I was in the kitchen at the time, but I thought it was pretty funny. He just doesn't stay where I put him anymore ;0)

"Look at me!"

Here is a video of Cayden working on those ab muscles and improving his stamina for sitting by himself. At least someone is working out these days ;0)

Sitting pretty( or handsome?) ;0)

Cayden is learning how to sit up all by himself for longer periods of time. He looks pretty proud of himself doesn't he?

All bundled up!

Cayden has his 'abominable snowman' outfit on and is ready to go to Montana. Just one more week and we will be on our way! We can't wait to see everyone!

Early Christmas Present!

We saw this Fisher Price jumperoo and decided to get it for Cayden for Christmas. When we got home it was nearly time for him to eat and go to bed so he was kind of fussy. However, the minute we put him in this thing he was completley happy and mesmerized by all the toys and sounds. His favorite part though, is the bouncing. It's a good thing it is attached to the frame or he may just bounce up to the ceiling as hard as he bounces in it ;0) He was in it for about an hour when I finally had to peel him out of it to put him to bed. It's such a joy to watch him having so much fun in it. It's almost like a Christmas present to Mommy and Daddy. Almost ;0)

6 Months Old!

I thought I would give an update to those who are wondering (or forgot) how old Cayden is. He just turned 6 months on November 28th. We went to the Dr. the other day and found out that Cayden is 17 lbs. 3oz. in the 50% for his weight. He is 27 1/2 in. 90% for his length ( Daddy has high hopes for a basketball scholarship). He is also in the 90% for head size which the Dr. tells me indicates excellent brain growth. That is courtesy of Mommy's milk thank you very much ;0) He is sitting up by himself and almost crawling which is ahead of the curve for 6 months. So as you can see he is a healthy happy little baby. We are very blessed and thank God daily for our sweet little boy!

Mommy will have her hands full with this one... ;0)

Cayden decided the vacuum was much more fascinating than the toys he was playing with and managed to scoot his way across the room with his elbows to check it out. He is not quite crawling yet, but he is very close and he can get around by rolling or using his elbows to propel himself. Definitely time to baby proof the house!

Baby's First Thanksgiving

Cayden is all dressed and ready to go on his first Thanksgiving. He is wearing a new outfit and boots that were given to him by two sweet ladies in our church.

All strapped in and ready for the 2 hour drive to the mountains to spend the holiday with our pastor and his family.

A New Friend!

19 month old Avery, our pastor's granddaughter, thought Cayden was pretty great. He was like her very own living baby doll. She gave him kisses and 'pet him' ;0) She also loved to push him in the stroller. So cute!

First Thanksgiving Dinner

Cayden is all strapped in and ready to eat!

Among his favorites were sweet potato casserole
and rolls (which is what he is eating in this picture) with
Cathy, our pastor's wife.

Sorry this video is a little dark but I thought you might enjoy it anyway. One of or cats (Sierra) was going crazy trying to get the reflection spot made by a miror and Cayden thought it was hilarious. This is the first time I have heard him laugh at something spontaneous on his own.

Sitting up!

Our little baby is growing up! He is sitting up all by himself. Of course, 10 seconds later he tips over or falls backwards, but we are still pretty proud. ;0)

Pat a Cake, Pat a Cake......

This is one of Cayden's favorite games. Just look at the smile on his face. I don't think it could get much bigger ;0)

Bedtime story with Daddy

They are reading a book titled " Moo, Baa, La La La," a baby step toward the theology books that will no doubt come later ;0)

No more peas please!

Ok, so peas (and green beans) are not Cayden's favorite foods, although surprisingly he does actually eat them. His reaction, however, is priceless!

Random adorable pictures of Cayden

Talkative Baby!

Cayden was sure talkative tonight! We're not too sure what he was trying to tell us, but judging from the tone in his voice it was probably something like "put down the camera and put me to bed" ;0)
