Let's try this again

Sorry, the last video didn't work. I'm trying again but if it doesn't work this time I guess it's just too long or something. At least you get the idea from the other video.

Ongoing Argument ;0)

Here are two similar videos of Cayden and I having our familiar volley in which I attempt to get him to say Mama and he pretty much says every other consonant followed by A sound ;0)

Kitchen Buddy

Cayden loves to be in the kitchen. His favorite thing is the oven of all things. He gets so excited when he sees his reflection. It's pretty cute!

First T.V. show

Cayden likes to 'watch' Sesame Street in the mornings sometimes. I have a hard time keeping him an acceptable distance from the tv though as you can see ;0)

There is no stopping him now!

Cayden's latest accomplishment is pulling himself up on the furniture. He especially likes to turn on the music and mess with the dial on the cd player. Sorry, this video is pretty dark. I never realize how little light we have until it's too late, but hopefully you can see it anyway.

How does he do it!?

It's a mystery to me how he keeps getting himself wedged in this spot, but last night it actually took some maneuvering to get him out. Silly baby!

Play all day

Cayden and Daddy playing with the fun blocks Grandma
got him for Christmas

I'm not sure what that look means exactly
but it's pretty cute ;0)

He plays very well by himself too!

Just Like Daddy

We thought it would be cute to style Cayden's hair in a spike. Now he looks even more like his Daddy!

1st Birthday Invitation

Cayden was invited to his first birthday party on Saturday. Here he is with the birthday boy Cale, who just turned one. He had a lot of fun!

Cayden was the only baby who would wear the birthday hat. Such a cutie pie!

Cayden Likes to Help

Here is Cayden 'helping' Daddy put together a bookshelf for
his ever increasing library

And he likes to 'help' Mommy put away the
groceries too!

Back to School

Well, after a nice long break Josiah is getting ready to return to school. He has a winter class that starts tomorrow and lasts all next week, followed by spring semester which starts soon after. He did excellent in his classes last semester and finished with straight A's. He worked VERY hard and we are so proud of him. He has decided, after much prayer and thought, to slow down a bit and take 4 years to finish instead of 3. Last semester was very stressful and difficult, so hopefully he will be able to enjoy life a little more now and get more out of his classes as well. Cayden and I are thrilled since it will mean more time to spend with us. Yay!

Family Pictures

A great picture of the whole Monson family!

For those who don't know the people in this picture from left to right are as follows:
My brothers Matt and Jordan with Mom and Dad in the top row, then my brother Chris with his wife Nicole and their baby girl, Shelby; and of course Josiah, Cayden and I are right next to them in the bottom row.

Mother and daughter

Our little family.
Cayden chose to show us his shy pose, such a cutie!

And another picture of little Cayden

" I'm a big boy now"!

Cayden is strong enough to take baths in the big bath tub by himself now!

Suddenly bathtime just got a whole lot more fun ;0)

Big Milestones!

Cayden learned how to crawl!

Grandma is helping him refine his new skill
And now he is into everything!

Grandpa attempted to slow him down on his way to his favorite things to explore, cords and vents, by stepping on the hem of his pants. You can see how well that worked ;0)

Baby's First Christmas

Cayden had a blast opening all the presents

Even if they weren't all his ;0)

He was also very fascinated with and loved to pull all the decorations off the bottom of Grandma's Christmas tree.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

Well, we are back from the sub zero temperatures of Montana and have begun to thaw out here in North Carolina where it has been around 60 degrees. We had a great time and are so blessed to have be able to spend time with our families. I'm finally getting around to updating the blog and we have alot to share with you so here goes...
